BEHINDĀ REAPERTIPS

Hello, I'm Alejandro!

And I created this thing, hereā€™s why šŸ‘‡
My mission

Make REAPERĀ more accessible and less intimidating to use

Lots of people get easily overwhelmed with REAPER or just think it looks intimidating / outdated. IĀ am here to show that REAPERĀ can be super powerful while also looking pretty cool and very fun to use!

All content and resources on this page will forever be free, so everyone can access them no matter their situation is.

I believe REAPER is one of the most versatile and capable DAWs out there. I want to make sure you discover the awesome stuff it can do, so you can create faster, better, more efficiently.

My method

Straight forward tutorials, no fluff

All of my tutorials are easy-to-digest and short. I cut out the fluff and explain only what you need to know and present it in the most efficient way possible.

I highly believe that learning little by little is the best approach to mastering REAPER. Especially with how overwhelming it can get!

QUESTIONS

Who are you?

Nice to meet you! I'm Alejandro Hernandez and Iā€™ve been using REAPER since I was 14, I am now 27. Iā€™ve been pretty much a bedroom guitarist/producer most of my life. (Just like 80% of reaper users lol)

If you scroll back on my first youtube channel, you can see all the stuff Iā€™ve made throughout the years.Ā I went through all sort of phases and learnt a lot from all of them!Ā

I just know that I love creating and that I have a deep passion for creation tools in general. Especially those that let me do anything I want like REAPER šŸ’™

In the last few years, Iā€™ve been really into design and user experience. Even though I had very little experience, I really wanted to learn. I knew this would be a valuable skill that would allow me to teach and share cool things with people in a nice presentable way.

Starting the Reapertips instagram page was the perfect opportunity to practice my design skills and come up with cool ways to teach things.Ā

Iā€™ve come to realize that I deeply care about experience. I love helping others. I love creating. And I am very happy that I can combine all these passions to run this page.

It truly makes my day knowing that I managed to improve at least one small thing about anyoneā€™s workflow.Ā Ā

Why did you make this?

Idk, it just made sense to me. I love REAPER and I love helping people. I love sharing cool things. I love when they go ā€˜woah, coolā€™. Those little things make me happy.Ā

Itā€™s also a lot of fun. I enjoy all the process!Ā

On another note, I feel proud about it. Everything about reapertips has been made 100% by me. I even designed and developed this website! I love creating :)

How can I help?

You can buy me a coffee ā˜•ļø.

If not possible, itā€™s totally okay! ā€“ this site and resources will stay free forever anyways šŸ’™

Other ways to help can be:

  • Sharing this website with a reaperfriend. Spreading the word about this page helps immensely!
  • Providing feedback. Have some feedback to improve this page? You can send it here.

Where does the money go?

All the money raised will be first used to cover all the website costs, such as hosting, domain and tools.

All extra money will help me put more time and effort into growing the resources of this page. The more money it makes the more cool stuff you will get.Ā I have a bunch of cool things planned and you can see them in this public roadmap.

Will this really be always free?

Yes! No ads, no salesy approach. All REAPERĀ knowledge on this page will forever be free.

Why? ā€“ Cause I care about your experience that much. I donā€™t want annoying ads to appear as you are trying to learn. I donā€™t want any awkward sale stuff to get in the way of things. It also aligns with my mission of making REAPER accessible.

I thought about this for a long time and I believe this is the way to go.Ā
