I love REAPER themes so much and I’ve been wanting to put a list for a while since there’s been a lot of really nice REAPER themes popping lately!
But before we get into the list, a quick note: this is not a ranked list. I just went through the themes I've tried and liked and listed them in no particular order, as I remembered them.
The only thing they all have in common is HiDPI support, meaning they have layouts available at 100%, 150%, and 200% scaling. It's 2026, and a lot of people are using 4K and high-density displays. A theme that only has 100% scaling will look blurry on those screens, and the difference is huuuuge!
That said, there are genuinely beautiful themes out there that were made years ago and only support 100%. If that's your situation, I'll link a couple of great lists at the end of this article. But for everyone else, here are the best REAPER themes you can use today without compromise ✨
💙 1. Reapertips Theme (Free)

Okay, I made this one!! But I am genuinely proud of where this theme is right now, and the response from the community has been incredible!
The goal was simple: make REAPER look better without making it feel like a different program. It stays close to the default layout so everything is where you expect it, but with much better contrast, cleaner visuals, and a ton of customization through the Theme Adjuster.
What you get:
- The main dark theme plus 3 variations (dark, hybrid, and light)
- Comprehensive PDF with setup instructions and tips
- Color palette and alternative images
- 85 free themed toolbar icons
2. Horizon Theme ($25)

This one just came out and it looks super clean! ✨
Those colored TCP faders are very interesting, its got a Theme Adjuster, and a very compact layout that uses screen space efficiently. If you work on a smaller monitor or just prefer things tight and organized, this is worth checking out!
My only nitpick is that the buttons in the TCP feel a bit cramped and the icons are on the small side. But honestly, that's a personal preference thing and it doesn't take away from how polished the theme looks overall! 👌
3. NVK Theme ($19)

Super slick and modern! The team behind this one put a lot of thought into customization and functionality, and it shows. There are some really cool layout options and the overall feel is very polished.
It’s also very well maintained! They keep pushing updates very regularly, which is very rare these days for themes!
4. Flat Madness ($5)

A looooooooot going on here in the best possible way, lol. Flat Madness has independently adjustable layouts for the TCP and MCP, 4 color schemes, dedicated buttons for setting track colors, solid or colored backgrounds, and one of the better custom Theme Adjusters I've seen.
If you want maximum control over how your interface looks and behaves, this theme gives you a lot of options.
5. reARK (Free)

Built on the Default 6.0 theme architecture, reARK uses the original WALTER image sizes and is fully compatible with HiDPI screens. The creator approached this similarly to how I approached the Reapertips Theme: keep it close to the default, but make everything sharper and more refined!
If you like the Reapertips Theme vibe but want something a little different, this is a great option. Everything is pixel-perfect and very satisfying to look at.
6. The Anti-Theme (Free)

This one is made by White Tie, the same person who designed all of REAPER's official default themes. He originally made it as a joke, basically making fun at people who just want everything to be grey and neutral. The joke backfired because it actually looks really good and a ton of people love it 😆
It feels very much like using the default theme, just more polished and refined. There's also a light version that I think is underrated!
7. paRT - plain adapting reaper theme (Free)

If you're really particular about scaling, this is the most thorough theme on the list.
paRT supports 100%, 125%, 150%, 175%, 200%, 225%, and 250% zoom factors. It covers all REAPER v7 UI elements, has 3 brightness variants, and includes a custom Theme Adjuster with a lot of configuration options.
Clean, functional, and built for people who want things to look exactly right at any screen size.
8. LCS-Flat 7 (Free)

This is a mod of the default REAPER 7 theme that flattens everything out. The result is surprisingly clean. The MCP faders in particular look really nice, and the overall interface feels more modern without straying too far from what REAPER normally looks like.
A great choice if you like the default layout but want a fresher look.
9. ReaTools ($9)

This one makes REAPER look like Pro Tools. If you're coming from Pro Tools and want something familiar while you get used to the REAPER workflow, this is the most complete option I've seen for that. It comes in three skin variants (Classic, Dark, and DarkBlack), includes a user guide PDF, and has track color adjustment built in.
10. phaselab Reaper Theme (Free)

A really thoughtful theme built on the White Tie adjuster with a lot of custom changes on top. The background is darker than most, icons don't have borders, effects are displayed on the right side of the TCP, and the selection behavior is more subtle so selected tracks don't pop out too aggressively.
That’s it!
Making this list was actually tricky because honestly there aren't that many themes out there that properly support 150% and 200% scaling. It takes A LOT more work to build a theme for the modern REAPER, and not everyone has gone back to update their older creations.
If you're looking for themes that only need 100% scaling, there are some beautiful ones from over the years. My personal favorites from that era are Paulie and Peace theme. Here are two lists worth browsing:
Happy theming, reaperfriends. 💙
